SAN FRANCISCO, April 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — AdRoll, the performance marketing platform, today announced Toby Gabriner has been named president, transitioning from his previous role as a strategic advisor to the company. Gabriner succeeds president, CMO and founding team member Adam Berke, who will remain active with the company as a strategic advisor.

«Toby has a stellar track record of building companies as an executive leader partnering with a technical team, like the one we have at AdRoll,» said Aaron Bell, CEO and co-founder of AdRoll. «After working with him for the past six months in his role as an advisor, I’m confident that we have a shared vision for AdRoll and a like-minded view of the incredible growth opportunities.»

In October 2016, the former CEO and president of Adap.tv, one of the pioneering video ad platforms that was acquired by AOL in 2013, joined AdRoll as a strategic advisor focused on product and platform development. Gabriner brings nearly 20 years of experience helping to build and grow companies. As president, he will contribute directly to AdRoll’s evolution as a full-funnel marketing platform, overseeing product, marketing and commercialization for the company.

Gabriner has a distinguished career in the digital advertising sector having served as president of Carat Interactive, one of the first large digital agencies, CEO of [x+1], one of the earliest demand-side platforms, as well as president of Tribal Fusion, one of the most successful ad networks of its time.

«Over the past six months I have had the opportunity to experience first hand the depth of talent, the sizable market opportunity and the myriad of growth opportunities,» said Gabriner.  «It is rare to find a company that has achieved so much success to date and has the potential for even greater successes in the future. I am excited to work with this incredible team to build products that continue to drive this evolving ecosystem, as marketing, data and advertising technologies continue to intersect.»

«After 10 years helping to build AdRoll, I decided that it was time for me to pursue my next challenge,» said Adam Berke, former president and CMO. «We were very thoughtful about how to make this transition and I couldn’t be more thrilled with Toby stepping into the president role. I look forward to continuing to contribute as an advisor and staying connected to the incredible team and culture we’ve built at AdRoll.»

The increasing global demand for effective, data-informed advertising, combined with AdRoll’s commitment to product innovation, has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth to date. In the last two years, the company launched AdRoll Email, an email retargeting tool, and AdRoll Prospecting, a complementary product that helps businesses attract new customers through the IntentMap™, the world’s largest opt-in data co-op; with these products, AdRoll offers customers products that provide performance, ease of use, transparency and control.

Additionally, the company is also today announcing surpassing a $300M run rate in 2016. AdRoll also increased its customer base to 35,000 brands worldwide in 2016. The growth was driven by the increasing global demand for effective, data-informed advertising combined with AdRoll’s commitment to product innovation.
