The CR Magazine annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens list, which has been published for 18 years, recognizes public companies for their outstanding corporate responsibility performance. The 2017 list included 260 data points of disclosure and performance measurements gathered from publicly available information in the following categories: the environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, corporate governance, financial performance, and philanthropy and community support.

Clorox, which this year had its strongest performance in the sustainability and social categories, earned its highest ranking since first making the list in 2011. It has now appeared on the list for seven consecutive years.
